Four Corners, USA 2005
May 4 - 12, 2005
We spent 9 incredible days traveling throughout the states that make up the "Four Corners".
We flew into Albuquerque and headed straight for the beautiful town of Santa Fe. Then it was up to Taos to visit Taos Pueblo and then on into southern Colorado. We drove along the stunning "Million Dollar Highway" and made our way to Montrose to visit Michael's mother. She took us to see the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a wonderful National Park. We also visited Telluride before it was on to Moab. We spent 2 glorious days visiting Arches National Park.
Utah is filled with stunning scenery and the National Parks there are breathtaking! But I think Arches may be my favorite! The hiking was incredible...you could spend weeks and never get tired of the beauty!
Next, we drove back down into southwestern Colorado to visit Mesa Verde National Park. This was a gem! We had never seen cliff dwellings before and they took our breath away!
Then we headed to the "Four Corners" Monument and took the obligatory photo:)
We then went into northeastern Arizona and visited Canyon de Chelly before heading back into Albuquerque along the historic Route 66.
This was one of most memorable and fun trips! It was just one awesome vista after the next.
Hope you enjoy our photos!
