Norwegian Caribbean Cruise 2013
February 14 - 23, 2013
In celebration of our 16th wedding anniversary, we left the cold of New Hampshire for a week long Caribbean cruise.
We departed out of Miami after 2 nights there then sailed on the Norwegian Epic to St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Nassau, Bahamas was also on our scheduled itinerary, but due to a "never-before-seen" mix-up with the port authority in Nassau, they scheduled too many ships into the port that day and did not have room for us, so we had an extra day at sea.
This was a fantastic rest-and-relaxation vacation and we savored every warm, sunny moment.
One of our favorite experiences was watching the planes fly into Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten as the airport's runway is extremely close to the shore and the beach, resulting in very low-altitude flyovers! We posted a few videos here of some of them....the most exciting being the huge KLM B747...quite an experience!!
We also had a great time strolling through the picturesque town of Charlotte Amalie, the capital and largest city of the U.S. Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.
Here are some of our favorite photos from the trip.
