Carnival Caribbean Cruise 2011
December 4-11, 2011
MICHAEL TURNS 50!!!!!!!!
We were originally going to Thailand for 2 weeks to celebrate Michael's birthday, but unfortunately Thailand experienced some horrible flooding and we decided it would be best to cancel. So, with only a couple of weeks to come up with a plan B, we decided on a Caribbean cruise....where everything is already all planned out for us...easy and relaxing....and boy, was it!
This was our first Caribbean cruise. We sailed on the Carnival Conquest, departing from my hometown of New Orleans. So we got to spend some time with family and friends on both ends of the cruise, which was fun!
We spent 7 nights on the ship with ports of call in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico then back to New Orleans.
There were pros and cons to the cruise thing. We LOVED how relaxing it was to be on the ship, unpack for 7 days and just let the ship take us to the next place...very different from our usual travel style. But we do wish we had more time at each stop...half a day was just not enough.
But that just leaves more for us to see when we go back :)
Here are just some of our favorite photos from the trip.
